Janet works with adults facing periods of pressure, uncertainty, and change, particularly when work, finances, or major life transitions begin to affect confidence, wellbeing, or a sense of direction. People may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what to do next. Janet helps clients make sense of what is happening and find practical ways forward. Her work includes anxiety, burnout, financial stress, workplace and professional pressures, and career transitions. She provides psychological services in both English and Mandarin.

One of Janet’s particular interests is supporting professionals, managers, and people in high-responsibility roles who are navigating demanding work environments, career uncertainty, or questions around professional identity and direction. Before psychology, Janet spent over a decade in professional services and corporate settings, which informs her understanding of organisational pressures, complex decision-making, and the demands of professional life.

Her approach to therapy is thoughtful, collaborative, and practical, informed by clinical experience in a public hospital setting. Therapy is evidence-based and tailored to the individual, drawing on cognitive-behavioural and acceptance-based approaches as appropriate. Janet aims to help clients feel understood in the context of their broader lives, recognise patterns contributing to their difficulties, develop greater clarity and confidence, and make meaningful changes.

Janet also has a strong interest in psychological assessment, with experience in a specialist neurodevelopmental assessment clinic. Her interests include cognitive, learning, memory, executive functioning, functional and decision-making capacity, and neurodevelopmental assessment. She approaches assessment as more than test scores or a diagnostic label. It is an opportunity to understand the person behind the results, make sense of their experiences, and identify practical ways forward.
